If you head southwest from Ancud you'll get to Pumillahue where a penguin colony settled nearby. To see the birds, you'll have to hire a fishing boat to take you to the exact spot (it's only $2.50). Better go in early in the morning or late in the evening, because otherwise the birds may not be there.
