Whitewater rafting is actually very popular here, on the Rio Trancura, and many tour operators offer such trips, including Trancura, at No 261 or Klaus Thiele, on O'Higgins. Prices differ according to the grade of difficulty; for example for Trancura Bajo, which is grade 3, you'll have to pay $10-15 while for Trancura Alto which is grade 4, it's $25. You can also take a 3-day trip to the Biobio.
