I guess you'll feel alright at the Hacienda Los Lingues, a horse-breeding ranch at the foot of the Andes. They have creaky floors, 17th century carved beds and white curtains. You should book in advance at 56/2-235-5446 (a double room is priced $200). You can begin the day with a walk among the garden flowers and splashing fountains and end it with Chile's national drink, pisco sours. Or, take a horse and investigate Central Valley!
