Torres del Paine National Park

Posted 1 year ago by loti in response to avatar gabrielle's question: What kind of animals live in the Torres del Paine Park and what kind of landscape does it display? I have to make up my mind for my future camping spot :) (give a different answer) .

Well, there are some dangerous ones, as the mountain puma, but most of them don't approach humans: the flamingos, geese, and the unique Andean condor that reaches 12 feet when it spans its wings. The landscape is rugged, with glaciers, fjords, pampas and the rose-colored Cordillera mountain peaks. It's too cold for a tent, and too wild - located north of Punta Arenas, the park was not marked on the map before 1940!
